A WOMAN was indecently assaulted in Colchester after a man lured her into his car on Head Street.
The 20-year-old victim, from Witham, believed she was getting into a taxi when the incident happened on Thursday at 9.20pm.
The man, in a Vauxhall Astra estate, drove off up the A12 and pulled off towards the Marks Tey junction, where he assaulted her in a lay-by before she escaped and sought help nearby.
The man was described as Eastern European looking, of grimy appearance and in his forties.
Anyone who saw the car, or the woman, who had sunglasses on her head, should call Colchester CID on 01206 762212.
Police warned the public about the man and advised people never to get into unlicensed minicabs.
