SUFFOLK police are hunting a suspected gunman following an incident in Old Newton, near Stowmarket.Detectives have appealed for witnesses after a man entered the property of a 21-year-old woman on Greenacres, Old Newton via her front door around 9.
SUFFOLK police are hunting a suspected gunman following an incident in Old Newton, near Stowmarket.
Detectives have appealed for witnesses after a man entered the property of a 21-year-old woman on Greenacres, Old Newton via her front door around 9.30am yesterday.
He entered her living room and produced what is believed to be a handgun and made threats towards her and her family before running from the property.
The male is described as approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark balaclava, a dark puffa jacket and dark trousers.
Although no one was injured during the incident the woman was left extremely shaken by the ordeal and is currently being supported by the police and members of her family.
Police are anxious to hear from anyone who was in the area of Greenacres between 9am and 9.45am, who may have information to assist them with their enquiries.
