Police are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was approached in Ipswich.
The incident happened at around 3.50pm on Wednesday when the youngster was walking alone in Hervey Street, near the Cemetery Road junction.
A man parked in a grey Vauxhall Astra told the boy to get in the car, and told the youngster he would be given sweets.
The boy ignored him and continued on his way home.
Suffolk police officers are keen to trace the man who is white and had dark, spiky hair.
