IPSWICH police today issued an E-FIT likeness of a suspect they want to trace following a sex assault on a 29-year-old female.

IPSWICH police today issued an E-FIT likeness of a suspect they want to trace following a sex assault on a 29-year-old female.

The incident occurred in Cavendish Street, Ipswich between 10pm and 11pm Tuesday September 1.

The woman was at a party at a friend's house when a man appeared in the lounge doorway.

As no one knew him he was asked to leave.

The victim watched the male walk away and due to his unusual behaviour she kept watching him. He then returned to the front of her friend's house and touched her inappropriately.

The woman pushed him away and he walked off.

The suspected is described as white, aged late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 8in tall, slim build, with short-cropped dirty blond hair and was wearing a blue hooded jumper and jeans.

He smelt strongly of alcohol and was believed to be drunk. He did not speak English.
