AN E-FIT of an attacker has been released by Ipswich police today after a man was assaulted in the town centre.

A 20-year-old man was walking in Carr Street with two female friends in the early hours of the morning when he was spat at and punched in the jaw.

The attack was by two men and police have released an e-fit of one in an attempt get the public's help in tracing him.

The attack happened at 1.30am on Sunday, September 10. As the two men passed the victim and his friends, one spat water at the man.

He asked the offender why they did it and both men punched him in the face and walked off.

The victim went to Ipswich Hospital where he was treated for a broken jaw.

The offender in the e-fit is described as mixed race, 16 to 18 years old, 6ft and slim. He was wearing a baggy white or light blue t-shirt, baggy trousers and trainers.

The second offender was also mixed race and a similar age. He was about 5ft 8ins and was wearing a black peaked cap, a pale blue or green and black hooded top and dark blue jeans. He is described as having a strong jaw line and dark eyes.
