Several police cars descend on Whitton estate in Ipswich as officers search for wanted man

Police in Ipswich conducted a large-scale search of the Whitton estate for a wanted man this evening.
The 17-year-old is wanted in connection with a string of offences including burglary and aggravated vehicle taking.
Mutliple police units were sent to the scene but were unable to find any trace of the teenager.
Officers said enquiries are ongoing and efforts are being made to find him.
Witnesses said several police cars were parked on every street of the estate when the search was under way.
A police spokesman said officers were looking for the 17-year-old in the vicinity of Spenser Road.
He added: “We have multiple units in Whitton in Ipswich looking for a wanted man.
