A lorry collided with a goods train on the main line into London at Lawford, near Manningtree this morning.The driver of the lorry is believed to have escaped by freeing himself from the cab of his vehicle but he was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
A lorry collided with a goods train on the main line into London at Lawford, near Manningtree this morning.
The driver of the lorry is believed to have escaped by freeing himself from the cab of his vehicle but he was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
It is understood that the lorry toppled 40 feet down a bank and on to the track.
Rail services between Ipswich, Colchester and Harwich are currently suspended until further notice.
Anglia Railways are advising commuters into London to travel from Colchester, although Anglia Railways are trying to arrange replacement bus services.
