ESSEX police are investigating a rape in Chelmsford.A young woman was attacked as she walked near the Riverside Retail Park in the Essex town between 5pm and 6pm on Monday.

A young woman was attacked as she walked near the Riverside Retail Park in the Essex town between 5pm and 6pm on Monday.

Police said she was subjected to a vicious assault. She told police her attacker was white, in his 20s, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 9 tall and smelt of cigarettes and alcohol.
