PARAMEDICS and police descended on Ipswich waterfront tonight following reports of a stabbing in Key Street.
However, when officers and medics arrived at the scene shortly after 7pm they were unable to find a casualty.
A police spokesman said they believed the call had been a hoax.
The ambulance service said the caller claimed a man had been stabbed in the arm close to Pizza Express. A rapid response vehicle was dispatched but no one was found.
