THE large fight at the Caribbean Club has left nearby residents shocked and worried.
Many of those living nearby in Tudor Court and Tudor Place - which is accommodation for the over 55s - were woken up by shouting and swearing.
Revellers were let out of the back of the Caribbean Club this morning which runs into a passageway between the two accommodation buildings.
Residents said that is highly unusual and does not often happen.
All morning and into this afternoon police teams have been working inside the cordon, which includes forensic officers wearing white suits and carrying cameras. Shortly after 11am a police truck arrived at the scene carrying a mobile police station
A number of residents this morning vented their frustration with the club and said they believed it should be closed down.
“I was scared,” said one, who lives in Tudor Place. “We are 55 and over and we have had police here before with the helicopter and police dogs. I think the Caribbean Club should close.”
