COMMUTERS making their way back to Suffolk today may be disrupted after a series of crashes on the region's roads.

The Cambridge-bound carriageway of the M11 has been closed between Harlow and Bishop's Stortford

after a lorry went over the central reservation and ended up on its side at about midday.

There are also severe delays to traffic travelling along the M11 to London and Essex police may need to close that carriageway later in the day.

Another road traffic collision, this time involving two lorries on the Norwich-bound section of the A11, has also caused tailbacks.

The accident happened at about 10.30am between the B1172 turn-off and the Mulbarton turn-off and resulted in one of the drivers needing to be cut from his lorry and taken to hospital.

Norfolk police say diversions are in place but are warning that the area is very congested.
