POLICE have reopened a road in Ipswich following a car accident in which two young women were killed and another was left seriously injured.

Foxhall Road had been cordoned off between the junctions of Dover Road and Roy Avenue after the incident which happened at about 12.15am.
A silver Citroen Saxo ploughed into the three women, believed to be in their mid 20s, as they walked along the pavement. It also hit a wall destroying the entire structure at the front of a house on Foxhall Road.
Traffic was diverted along local routes as police officers carried out their initial investigations at the scene to help establish what happened.
The road reopened at about 9.45am.
