Off-peak roadworks are set to delay traffic on Norwich Road in Ipswich for the next four weeks.

The pavement is being rebuilt between Brooks Hall Road and Richmond Road, including the area in front of the row of shops and takeaways. The lay-by here is closed during the work.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday for the next two weeks and then from 9.30am to 3.30pm for the following two weeks after children have gone back to school.

The pedestrian crossing traffic lights opposite the Glynn Hopkin car dealership have been taken out of service while the work is carried out.

The work is due to be completed by the end of April.
