RUSH hour drivers are facing flooded roads across west Suffolk as rivers burst their banks and water streams from saturated fields.
Following a night of torrential rain the Environment Agency issued four flood warnings for rivers in the area as watercourses overflowed and motorists reported several roads were deep in water.
One of the worst hit was the road running along the River Kennett between Wickhambrook, near Bury St Edmunds, and the village of Kennett. Drivers said the swollen river had burst its banks in several places.

The Bumpstead Brook from Steeple Bumpstead to New England.
The River Brett from Lavenham to Higham.
A flood watch was issued for the River Stour valley from Sudbury.
