ENGLAND star Wayne Rooney has married childhood sweetheart Coleen McLoughlin amid tight security on the Italian Rivieria.
The Manchester United striker and his new wife, both 22, tied the knot in a short ceremony at the Villa Durazzo in the resort of Santa Margherita Ligure, around 25 miles east of Genoa.
Heavy rain forced Coleen to accessorise her white Marchesa wedding gown - believed to have cost £200,000 - with a large black umbrella.
In total, the couple are thought to have splashed out £5 million on the event, although glossy magazine OK is rumoured to be paying £2.5m for exclusive coverage of the day.
