TRAFFIC queued along two of the main roads through Lowestoft town centre this morning because of a fire in a fish smokehouse.

TRAFFIC queued along two of the main roads through Lowestoft town centre this morning because of a fire in a fish smokehouse.

The fire at the Anchor Fisheries off Katwijk Way started at about 11.30am and emergency services were soon on the scene.

Traffic was queued along Katwijk Way as fire hoses crossed the road to get to the fire and Alexandra Road was also closed.

Part of the roof of the smokehouse was damaged.
