WINTRY weather is expected to sweep across the county this evening, with snow already affecting many parts of north Suffolk.
A severe weather warning has been issued by forecasters as cold air from the north mixes with a mild weather system from the Atlantic, bringing snowfalls.
The worst of the weather is expected overnight but could last in to the morning causing rush hour disruption in many places.
Many areas in the north of Suffolk have already seen heavy snowfall today.
In Framlingham there were reports of around two inches of snow, which has led tonight's Suffolk School's Under 18s football match against Bedfordshire to be cancelled.
There were also reports of heavy snow in Snape and the surrounding villages.
