EIGHT people arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after a stand-off with armed police in Kesgrave today remain in police custody.
Officers are holding the six men and two women in Felixstowe and Sudbury following an early morning tip-off yesterday.
Police were called to a house in Glanville Place shortly after 4am after receiving information that a man had been in possession of a gun.
Armed officers and the police dog squad were called, the street was cordoned off and residents were told to stay inside their homes during the stand-off.
Suffolk Police has stressed it is treating the arrests as “completely separate” to a triple shooting at Zest nightclub in the early hours of Saturday.
