THOUSANDS of motorists face misery tonight as they try to reach home as the Orwell Bridge is closed in both directions due to high winds.People were caught in huge queues stretching back from the Copdock interchange to the Asda turn off as they tried to leave the A14 and travel through Ipswich instead.
THOUSANDS of motorists face misery tonight as they try to reach home as the Orwell Bridge is closed in both directions due to high winds.
People were caught in huge queues stretching back from the Copdock interchange to the Asda turn off as they tried to leave the A14 and travel through Ipswich instead.
Also the Bury bound carriageway of the A14 is still blocked near to Stowmarket after a lorry turned over, shutting both lanes.
Franciscan Way in Ipswich has also been closed because of unsafe scaffolding and there is also very heavy traffic in roads around the town including Heath Road, Colchester Road and Foxhall Road.
