A MAN found dead in back garden of a house in Stradbroke has been named by police.

John Rudge, 75, of Queen Street, was found by a member of the public on March 3.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

The matter has been passed to the coroner.

Meanwhile, a pensioner found dead in the back garden of a Stowmarket home did not die in suspicious circumstances or of natural causes, police revealed today.

The man, thought to be in his 70s, was found yesterday after police received a call from a member of the public reporting they could see a body in the garden of the property in Hillside.

Following investigations, the force concluded no crime had been committed and have since handed the matter to the coroner.

An inquest will be held soon.

A police spokesman said: “Police attended and discovered the body of a man believed to be in his 70s in the back garden.

“Police are not treating the death as suspicious and the coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held in due course.”
