A LIFEBOAT was forced to rescue a large yacht today after it had become stranded off Shingle Street.An RNLI lifeboat from Harwich and Shingle Street coastguard were called following reports that a 21ft yacht called Suli Suli had run aground near the River Ore.
A LIFEBOAT was forced to rescue a large yacht today after it had become stranded off Shingle Street.
An RNLI lifeboat from Harwich and Shingle Street coastguard were called at 12.40am following reports that a 21ft yacht called Suli Suli had run aground near the River Ore.
The coastguard assisted the rescue operation before the lifeboat was able to tow the yacht to Orford quay. It was then met by Aldeburgh coastguard.
The two people on board from the Czech Republic were not injured.
