Street robbers take money and mobile

FOUR men assaulted a 22-year-old and stole money and his mobile phone as he walked in Ipswich today.

The victim was walking along Austin Street at about 2.30am when the men approached him.

He was hit on the head from behind and demands were made for him to hand over money before the offenders searched his jacket.

They stole a quantity of cash and his mobile phone.

Although an ambulance was sent to the scene, the victim was only slightly hurt and did not go to hospital.

All the robbers are described as white and aged 20 to 25-years-old and of medium build.

One is about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build with brown eyes and dark eyebrows. He was wearing a dark woolly hat and a black tracksuit with white stripes on the bottoms.

Another has light brown hair and was wearing green trainers and red and green clothing.
