A musical showcase called ‘From West End to One’ will be taking place at One sixth form centre on June 7.

The occasion – involving performing arts students – will include solos, duets and ensemble performances of classic songs from popular shows such as Legally Blonde and Bugsy Malone.

The event is a culmination of all of the hard work that students have put in during the last 12 months and music teacher Gareth Evans said the show is always very popular: “This is the third time that we have hosted this event. It’s set to be amazing night that showcases lots of talents and shows everyone all of the good things that we are doing at One in our department.”

18 year old Astra Myall will be performing. The 18-year-old said: “I’m looking forward to being involved in a Motown number. There will be lots of different songs.”

18 year old Harry Planck from Hadleigh is also performing. He said, “We have songs that will make you cry and others that will want people want to get involved in. I’m coming to the end of my course but I’ve enjoyed every moment of my time here. We are such a talented group. I’m sure many of my class are destined for great things.”
