Ipswich Transport Museum is giving visitors the chance to ride on some of its exhibits from the last 40 years during a special event on bank holiday Monday.
It will be running a free service between the museum and the town centre and railway station using its “one-man operated” buses that date from 1971 to the mid-1990s.
They were the first vehicles that did not have a conductor, and revolutionised services in the town. The free buses will run between 11am and 4pm on Monday, running every 15 minutes to the museum on Cobham Road.
