A 16-year-old boy has been kept in custody to appear in youth court after being charged in connection with a firearms incident in Leiston.
The teenager, from Ipswich, who can not be named for legal reasons, appeared before magistrates in Ipswich on Saturday, charged with attempted aggravated burglary following an incident in Old Foundry Place, Leiston, where police were called to reports of gunshots being heard at 11.45pm on May 30.
The teenager, represented by solicitor Sue Threadkell, gave no indication of plea to and was remanded in custody to appear before a youth panel of magistrates at the same court on Thursday, June 21.
A 46-year-old, Jake Bristol, of Valley Road, Leiston, has been charged with attempted burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving and drug driving, in connection with the incident.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on June 29.
