A TEENAGER arrested on suspicion of murdering a Halstead man has been released on police bail.Malcolm Jamieson, 54, was taken to Colchester General Hospital at around 6pm on Sunday after a woman called police to a house at Dooley Road in the town where she said a man had been assaulted.
A HALSTEAD man who was found dead on Sunday prompting a murder investigation has been named by police.
Malcolm Jamieson, 54, was taken to Colchester General Hospital at around 6pm on Sunday after a woman called police to a house at Dooley Road in the town where she said a man had been assaulted.
He later died at the hospital, and a post-mortem investigation has this afternoon revealed that the cause of death was injury to the head.
An 18-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and remains in custody.
