A YOUNGSTER had to be taken to hospital today after becoming impaled on the handlebar of his bike.
Fire and ambulance were called to the corner of St Edmunds Road and Cherry Tree Road, Stowmarket at around 2.40pm to rescue the boy who was believed to be around 15 years old.
He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment.
