Police have dropped their investigation into a suspected rape after a teenager withdrew her accusation against a 17-year-old.
No further action will be taken against the young man, who was arrested on July 17. The incident was alleged to have taken place behind Sudbury's Town Hall.
A Suffolk police spokesman said: “Police can today confirm following an investigation into an allegation of rape in Sudbury, made by a 17-year-old female last month, that the complaint has now been withdrawn.
“No further action will be taken against the 17-year-old male.”
