Staff at kitchen planners and installers The KBB Centre participated in the annual event, in which men spend 30 days growing facial hair during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues.

Roger Peck, director of The KBB Centre, said: “It was a good effort all round and everyone got behind it.

“It is a good cause and makes men aware of health issues.”

Accounts manager Sarah Peck added: “We raised £1,000 in total, which was better than expected.”

Francesco De Lellis, owner of Francesco Hair Salon in St Matthews Street, said: “We support Movember every year and when we heard our friends at KBB were growing Mos (moustaches) we offered to help by providing a free shave.”
