AN ELDERLY woman suffered a frightening ordeal when three men found their way into her Chelmsford home and stole money from her.
AN ELDERLY woman suffered a frightening ordeal when three men found their way into her Chelmsford home and stole money from her.
The woman, in her nineties, woke to find the men in her home. She was made to lie on the floor as the thieves, one of whom claimed to be a police officer, took a quantity of cash and made an untidy search of her home.
The incident happened at 8pm on Saturday night in Springfield Park Road. The men broke in through the rear door. They were all white and one was described as being in his thirties and quite smartly dressed.
The victim was not hurt but was checked out by paramedics.
