Bevan Street East has closed both ways between the Clapham Road South junction and the Suffolk Road junction because of the building fire.
Firefighters were also called to tackle two other incidents elsewhere in Lowestoft today. At 9.40am firefighters attended a fire in a garage in Kirkley Cliff Road. The incident was finished at 10.20am.
At 10.50am there was a blaze in a hallway on the first floor of an office in Opportunity House, London Road. The flames were extinguished and the crew then ventilated the property.
