YOUR Evening Star - with all its campaigning and award-winning traditions - supports Ipswich Town Football Club like no other. Period.

We have been True Blue at our core, and as our instinct, for generations, knowing that one of Britain's most treasured football clubs proudly has its home here in Suffolk.

Through the highs and lows of the world of the sometimes bizarre world of football we have supported, as a friend, the players, officials, and supporters of Ipswich Town.

And we have criticised where we felt it necessary, particularly as the club fell into administration earlier in this decade.

Sometimes, however, it is best that a friend drives home a message if he or she feels something is going badly wrong.

Today, that friend speaks out about the state of affairs at Ipswich Town Football Club - and asks club owner Marcus Evans to come out of the shadows and, openly and speedily, make much-needed changes at Portman Road.
