BUSINESSES associated with tourism in Suffolk are being urged to nominate themselves in a new awards scheme launched by Archant, publisher of The Evening Star.

The Tourism in Suffolk Awards aim to provide a showcase of the professionalism, and expertise that goes into this vital industry.

With 12 categories, the awards span across the industry giving an opportunity for all tourism businesses to proudly position themselves at the forefront of their sector.

Working with the Suffolk Tourism Partnership, the Tourism in Suffolk Awards will raise the profile of tourism in the county and are expected to generate additional business and increase standards.

Businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves for 11 of the award categories and the public will be able to vote for their own favourite experience with the People's Award.

The judging will be conducted by category sponsors, Suffolk Tourism Partnership, The Star, our sister paper The East Anglian Daily Times, and East of England Tourist Board.

To enter, businesses can fill out an online entry form or print off the application and send it to the address supplied on the form. Members of the public can vote on their choice for the People's Award, which is also available online.
