FOOTBALLERS and fire-fighters are set to get their kit on for a good cause next week when they model at a charity fashion show.

As part of the humanitarian appeal, Operation Florian, Suffolk County Council will open its doors for a night of fashion next Thursday with models including Suffolk fire-fighters and Ipswich Town footballers.

Supporting the event, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will be Ipswich Town Football Club.

Macedonian international Velice Sumulikoski will be taking part and ITFC youth players will model the new ITFC away kit. Compere for the evening will be Town's Simon Milton and there will be a special guest appearance by Karen Pickering MBE.

The evening will also feature a number of local boutiques and outlets including Aura, Urban Vintage, Nyx, Holly Blue, Carma and Coes and there will be health, beauty and fashion stalls in the atrium of Endeavour House.

DJ Neilos (Kiss 100) will be providing music for the evening and a complimentary drink will be offered to all guests.

The fundraising campaign, Operation Florian, has been championed by four local fire-fighters who intend to raise enough funds to buy and deliver four fully-kitted fire engines to the areas of Sveti Nikole and Veles in Macedonia in early May 2008.

When they have reached their target of £5,000 they will drive across Europe to deliver the engines and training.

£10 Tickets for the event are available from Helen Berry on 01473 260591, Mandy Brown on 01473 260520 or Jaime Milton in CSD at jaime.milton@csd.com.
