IPSWICH Town will be kitted out in red next season - but which shade is up to you.

As has become customary at Portman Road in recent years, supporters are being asked to vote on which of the three shirts takes their fancy.

Fans can pick designs in either True Red, Chilli Red or Oxblood, one of which will be worn when by Jim Magilton's team when they play away from home against clubs wearing blue.

Votes can be cast at any of the three Planet Blue stores or by e-mailing shirtvote@itfc.co.uk

The matchday programme at today's game against Wolves was also due to carry a vote slip. Fans can indicate their preferred choice and return the slip to a Planet Blue store.

An Ipswich Town spokesman encouraged fans to take part in the poll.

He said: "We have asked the supporters to choose both home and away shirts over the last few years and the response has always been fantastic with thousands of votes received.

“We hope we get the same response again this year.”

It will be the first time the club has worn red since the kit used in the 1993/94 season and the subsequently disastrous 1994/95 relegation campaign.

The shirt will replace the current black strip at the start of the 2008/2009 season.

It will mean both the home and away strips are made by supplier Mitre, bringing an end to club's association with Punch.
