IPSWICH Town football star Sixto Peralta has appeared in court charged with driving at 103mph.
Peralta, 23, was fined £270 yesterday after he admitted speeding.
The Argentinian midfielder was at the wheel of his Audi when he was clocked by traffic police on the A14 near Chippenham.
Ely magistrates heard Peralta was in a hurry because he wanted to take his sister on a sightseeing tour of Wales during a one-and-a-half day break from training.
Peralta, who is on loan from Inter Milan, admitted the charge after being pulled over on April 13.
His lawyer Cameron Clark said: "This offence was completely out of character. My client passed his test when he was 17 and has no previous endorsements."
