Police have launched an appeal after a serious five-vehicle crash on the A14. 

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the collision at Stowupland at about 12.40pm on Sunday. 

The crash involved a caravan and a car. 

Officers shut the road in both directions near to the A1120 slip road while they dealt with the incident, but it has since reopened.

The extent of injuries is currently unclear.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam in their vehicle to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance."
