TRAGIC mother Joanne Coombs has been buried in the same cemetery as her 17-year-old daughter who died on the same stretch of railway just weeks earlier.

The heartbroken 40-year-old was found dead on the tracks two week's ago after her daughter Natasha was killed by a train in August.

In a touching death notice grieving father and husband Gary Coombs, said: “My darling wife, taken so sadly from me and now at peace with our beloved daughters, Natasha and Emma.

“Joanne, you have given me the most precious moments and memories of my life and I feel so blessed to have been a part of yours.

“Be at peace sweetheart, devoted love to you until we are together again.”

Mourners were invited to wear bright colours but most of the 100 well-wishers were dressed in black for the 45-minute funeral service at St Nicholas Church, near the Coombs' family home in Dovercourt.

Mr Coombs followed four pallbearers carrying his wife's coffin out of the church and to the nearby Dovercourt cemetery where he recently laid his daughter to rest.

Mrs Coombs' coffin was covered in brightly coloured flowers as it pulled up to the church in the seaside town including one which read “Sister”.
