Train cancellations blamed on driver not being available

Trains cancelled due to lack of driver

A number of trains have been cancelled this evening due to an absent driver.

The 7.58pm and 8.58pm Ipswich to Felixstowe trains and the 8.28pm and 9.28pm Felixstowe to Ipswich trains were all cancelled by Abellio Greater Anglia.

The operator apologised for the disruption, which it said was because the driver of the trains was “not available”.

The cancellations may continue into the evening but a replacement bus service is being operated by Panther Travel between the two stations.

However, the bus is not stopping at Westerfield station due to local road restrictions. Customers at Westerfield are being advised to use the station help point to arrange alternative transport.
