Rail passengers travelling between London to Ipswich this morning are facing delays after ‘trespass incident’ between Colchester and Marks Tey.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: “A person was reported to be walking along the railway line and has now been moved to a place of safety.

“We are sorry if your travel plans are affected by this disruption.”

The 6.52am Ipswich to London Liverpool Street, due in at 08.13 am, and the 8.06am London Liverpool Street to Ipswich service, due at 9.26am, have been delayed by up to 15 minutes.

The 6.38am Clacton-On-Sea to London Liverpool Street, due in at 8.09 am, the 6.47am Clacton-On-Sea to London Liverpool Street, due in at 8.22 am, and the 6.47am Colchester Town to London Liverpool Street, due in at 07.56am, are also expected to be delayed by up to 15 minutes.
