TRIANON Music Group starts rehearsals shortly for its spring concert on Saturday, April 13, in the Ipswich Corn Exchange conducted by guest conductor, Christopher Phelps.
The programme includes Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5 and Gounod's St Cecelia Mass as well as three anthems for choir by English composers. The Choir and Symphony Orchestra welcomes new recruits and information can be obtained from the recruitment officer (01473 215918).
The Group is also organising a one day seminar on Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius at Belstead House Education Centre, on the outskirts of Ipswich on Saturday, May 18. The event is open to members of the public as well as Trianon members and there are a few places left for the event led by Professor Chris Green. For further information telephone 01394 448549.
