The 32-year-old, who is due to perform at Ipswich's Regent theatre on April 8, told fans via her website how boyfriend Luke Bullen surprised her by turning up at her adoptive parents' home to pop the question.
She said: “So, 11 o'clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it's Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed!
“Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes! It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I'm playing those chords.”.
The couple are expected to wed later this year.
