A LORRY load of live turkeys have been let loose today after the vehicle they were travelling in fell onto its side.The turkeys made their escape after the accident, which happened at about 9.30am.
A LORRY load of live turkeys have been let loose today after the vehicle they were travelling in fell onto its side.
The turkeys made their escape during the accident at about 9.30am on the B1336 at Hollow Hill Road, Ditchingham, Norfolk.
The driver of the articulated lorry was trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued by fire crews but was uninjured.
The road was temporarily closed while police attempted to retrieve the escaped birds.
