TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash at Otley today.

The accident between the Pontiac and Fiat cars happened at 11.05am on Helmingham Road.

A woman in the Fiat was trapped in the car after the accident and had to be cut free by firefighters.

A land ambulance and the air ambulance were sent to the scene and two people were taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, however their injuries were not thought to be serious.

The air ambulance was then dispatched to Benhall at the junction of the A12 and A1094 after another two vehicle accident.

The Vauxhall Astra and Vauxhall Vectra collided at about 11.45am.

There were fears that an 18-month-old baby travelling in one of the cars had been injured but after paramedics arrived it was found that there were no serious injuries and nobody was taken to hospital.
