THE team GB Olympic training camp in Macau has been hit by a typhoon.
Heavy rain and strong winds battered the region as tropical storm Kammuri lashed the area, prompting a category eight typhoon warning which meant that all offices and shops closed and public transport was suspended.
As a result of the storm the morning equestrian session was cancelled.
Three-day eventer Sharon Hunt, from Great Saxham near Bury St Edmunds, is at the camp with her horse Tanker's Town as she prepares for the Olympics.
A spokesman for the equestrian team said that the horses and riders are all fine and Saturday's scheduled start of the events will not be threatened.
