ROCK group UB40 have pulled out of a date at Newmarket Racecourse, it was announced today.Following the split from the band by Ali Campbell the concert scheduled for July 18 has been cancelled.

Following the split from the band by Ali Campbell the concert scheduled for July 18 has been cancelled.
Stephen Wallis, Managing Director of Newmarket Racecourses said “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers and trust they understand the cancellation was due to matters beyond our control.”
“Negotiations with agents to secure an alternative act for July 18 are currently underway. In the meantime all customers who have purchased tickets for the UB40 event at Newmarket, will be refunded in full (including booking fee).
“Customers do not need to do anything in order to obtain their refunds. Refunds will be processed automatically on Friday February 8.”
There are currently two acts confirmed for Newmarket Nights.

Canadian rock legend, Bryan Adams, will perform on Friday June 20 and James Morrison will perform on Friday July 25.
