The University of Suffolk’s Bioscience degree has been accredited by the Royal Society of Biology during a special presentation at the Palace of Westminster.
The Royal Society of Biology is the leading professional body for biological sciences in the country, and made up of biologists, academics and organisations nationwide.
During the presentation, staff from the University of Suffolk were joined by representatives from 15 other universities, each of which has been recognised for the quality of its bioscience education and ability to prepare students for a career in the industry.
Dr Aida Rajic, course leader and senior lecturer in Bioscience at the University of Suffolk, said: “I am delighted by the recognition of excellence of our BSc (Hons) Bioscience degree programme, which accreditation by the Royal Society of Biology brings, and what this means for our students in terms of increased visibility and opportunities within the employer community, and their future careers as scientists.
“This recognition will also help further enhancing the visibility of the University of Suffolk and the great quality work we all do here.”
