Fire crews were called to a vehicle which had broken-down on the A11 and had smoke rising from it.
Police said a Ford Ka had stopped on the road, Thetford-bound between Newmarket and Mildenhall, at around 8am
A force spokesman added there were reports of smoke coming from the car but no-one was hurt. The road was clear by 8.30am, with the vehicle left in lay-by for a recovery team to take away.
Officers were also dealing with a broken-down vehicle on the A14 at Copdock. They were called at about 8.15am and the incident had been cleared 15 minutes later.
At around 8.45am officers were called to the A12, Woodbridge-bound, near Martlesham, after another Ford Ka crashed. The spokesman said no-one had been hurt and the road was clear by 9am.
