A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a woman was taken to hospital following a car accident.
The accident happened on Colchester Road at the junction with Kingsgate Drive in Ipswich during this morning’s rush hour. A Renault Kangoo van and Ford Fiesta were involved.
A 32-year-old man from Ipswich has been arrested by police on suspicion of drink driving. He is being held at the Martlesham Investigation Centre.
Both lanes were blocked for an hour after the collision, but the road has now been reopened.
