A VAN driver died when his vehicle was in collision with a stationary lorry in a lay-by on the A14 near Newmarket.
The accident happened at about 6.45am near Snailwell and the A142 junction. Two ambulance and three fire crews attended.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said the van driver was certified dead at the scene by a SARS doctor and added that the vehicle was "concertina'd" in the impact.
